Merus is an electric motor system that has deleted the need for a control unit which required valuable table space.
The system is available with a handpiece and electric motor assembly for laboratory procedure or an electric motor for low speed handpiece general dentistry,
hygiene and endodontic 'E'-type connection hand pieces. The lab handpiece has replaced the Jacob chuck deleting the need to repair worn chuck jaws.
Merus provides high torque efficiency with portability and ease of use. It can be operated on any electrical voltage.
The Merus Electric Motor System offers two models:
Merus Lab and Merus GD
Merus Lab: A low cost portable electric motor system with quick tool clamping motor handpieces for light drilling, grinding, milling and polishing of precious metals,
ceramics, acrylics and steel. Merus has a specially designed handpiece head that eliminates the Jacob chuck. Available with 'E'-type connection electric motor.
Merus GD: A low cost portable electric motor system that accepts low speed 'E'-type connection handpieces.
With contra angle or straight handpiece attachments, the clinician can achieve a variety of bur speeds for
general dentistry, hygiene and endodontic procedures with high torque efficiency.
Merus Lab
Includes: Variable speed foot controller with power block and cord, AC/DC converter with connector, and handpiece-motor assembly with cable. Handpiece - motor assembly available with 'E'-type connection.
Fits 3/32 inch (2.35 mm) burs.
Handpiece is lightweight, well balanced and ergonomically designed providing better tactile feel and less fatigue.
Merus GD
Includes: Variable speed foot controller with power block and cord, AC/DC converter with connector, 'E'-type electric motor and cable and handpiece tray.
Accepts any low speed handpiece with ISO standard 'E'-type coupling.
